Home in a Box Project was developed after Hurricane Katrina devastated the gulf coast. We frame a house here in Greenville and then load it onto a truck to ship down to Mississippi to be finished there along with the partner family displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
This is Habitat Greenville’s fourth HIB project. Some of our volunteers will travel with the house to Mississippi to help finish the contruction. If you’re interested in traveling with them, please contact Karen McDonald at Habitat Greenville (karenm@hfhgreenville.org or 864-370-4787 ext. 30).
